Individual Child Psychotherapy
Print E-mail

Carol uses a combination of child-centered non-directive therapy, as well as more directive cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

The most recent neuroscience indicates that change in brain structure  is accomplished through the ability of the therapist to be mindful, non-judgmental and accepting of the child.

CBT is helpful in learning techniques used for relaxation training, anxiety, and depression.

We recognize your child's unique circumstance
Mental health interventions for children vary with respect to the problem being addressed and to the age and other individual characteristics of the child. Although such interventions share some approaches, treatment methods can be quite different from each other.
